A few days ago I had the pleasure of completing a new real estate photography and video project for this beautiful modern holiday apartment in Tarifa, Cádiz, on Spain’s stunning Costa de la Luz. Projects like this perfectly represent the type of work I love most as a professional photographer specialising in interiors, architecture and holiday rental properties in southern Spain.

From the first moment I walked into the apartment, it immediately stood out because of its contemporary design, warm textures, clean architectural lines and carefully selected materials. The combination of natural wood, modern styling and open spaces created an elegant atmosphere, but great interior photography is about much more than simply photographing beautiful rooms.

My goal during every property session is not simply to create attractive images. The objective is to create photographs that communicate a feeling and tell a story. Potential guests browsing Airbnb, Booking.com or holiday rental websites make decisions extremely quickly. In only a few seconds, they decide whether to continue looking at a property or move on to the next listing. First impressions are everything.

One of the most important parts of this project was lighting. Although the apartment already benefited from good natural light, professional real estate photography often requires additional lighting techniques to achieve the best possible result. During this session I used powerful professional flash units to carefully balance the bright exterior light with the interior spaces of the apartment.

This process helps avoid harsh shadows, improves detail throughout the rooms and creates a clean, bright and welcoming atmosphere. Lighting is one of the most important elements in interior photography and can completely change the final result. Knowing how to properly light a living room, kitchen, bedroom or bathroom creates images that feel spacious, warm and inviting.

Every room in this apartment was individually worked on to highlight textures, materials and architectural details while maintaining a natural appearance. The goal was always to create images that felt realistic while showing the property at its very best.

Besides the photography session, I also produced a professional video of the apartment designed for social media, online promotion, Airbnb and Booking platforms. Video has become an increasingly important marketing tool for holiday rentals because it gives potential guests a more immersive experience and helps properties stand out in a competitive market.

Tarifa continues to grow as one of the most desirable destinations in southern Spain, attracting visitors from all over Europe with its spectacular beaches, kitesurfing, windsurfing and relaxed lifestyle. As competition among holiday rentals continues to increase, professional photography and video have become essential tools for property owners who want to maximise visibility and attract more bookings.

The owners were extremely happy with the final results, which is always one of the most rewarding parts of my work. I always aim to work closely with clients, understand what makes each property unique and create images that present it in the most attractive and professional way possible.

If you own a holiday apartment, villa, hotel or rental property in Tarifa, Cádiz or anywhere on the Costa de la Luz and would like to improve your online presence with professional photography and video, feel free to get in touch.
