A Relaxed English Wedding in Southern Spain | Wedding Photographer in Tarifa

When Sophie and William started planning their wedding, they knew they wanted something different. Rather than celebrating in England, they decided to bring their family and friends to southern Spain for a destination wedding surrounded by sunshine, nature and a relaxed atmosphere.

Their wedding took place at Finca La Gloria, a beautiful countryside venue in Andalusia. Around 70 guests travelled from England to celebrate with them, creating an intimate and unforgettable day filled with laughter, emotion and genuine happiness.

As a wedding photographer in Tarifa, these are exactly the kinds of weddings I love to photograph. There was no pressure or rigid schedule—just people enjoying every moment together. That allowed me to capture real emotions, natural interactions and authentic memories throughout the day.

A Relaxed Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony was held outdoors under the warm June sunshine and was conducted by one of the couple's close friends, making it incredibly personal and meaningful.

Everyone was elegantly dressed while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and informal. From the very first moments, you could feel that this was a celebration focused on people rather than protocol.

One of the greatest joys of documentary wedding photography is capturing those spontaneous moments that cannot be planned: smiles between family members, emotional embraces, laughter during the speeches and the quiet moments shared between the bride and groom.

Photographing Every Important Moment

Sophie and William chose my six-hour wedding photography package, which includes documentary photography, drone photography and a cinematic highlight film.

I arrived during the afternoon to photograph:
