In December 2024, I had the opportunity to work as an industrial photographer for Pato de Goma, a production company from Madrid that hired me to carry out a corporate photography campaign focused on hygiene and quality measures at the Nivea factory, located in Mataró (Barcelona).
One of the most curious aspects of this shoot, and something I had never experienced before in my career as a professional photographer, was that the entire production team, my assistant, and I had to dress just like the plant staff: special suits, gloves, masks, and shoe covers. It was a unique experience that allowed me to truly appreciate the importance of safety and cleanliness protocols in an industrial setting.
What was the goal of this industrial photography session?
The challenge was to capture real, authentic images of the daily work inside the factory, highlighting Nivea's team commitment to safety, quality, and hygiene. We focused on several key areas:
Industrial process photography: showcasing the essential operations.
Corporate photography: portraying the staff during their workday.
Hygiene and safety protocols: emphasizing proper protective gear and workspace cleanliness.
Quality control: documenting how anomalies are detected and corrected.
Order and maintenance: highlighting the small actions that ensure a clean and safe environment.
All with a natural, human, and professional touch, making sure the workers felt comfortable in front of the camera while performing their usual tasks.
Industrial photography that builds trust
As a photographer specialized in industrial and corporate photography, I know that these types of projects require both a technical and creative approach. Managing lighting in industrial spaces, finding the best angles in tight areas, and, above all, showcasing the professionalism of the team are key to achieving high-quality results.
Without a doubt, it was a unique experience that I would love to repeat in future projects involving factory photography, production plants, or logistics centers.
